Dr. Castillo began working as an assistant at North Center Animal Hospital in 1986 at age 18.  He continued to work here throughout college and during time off from veterinary school. He began his new career as a doctor here when he graduated from veterinary school in 1996.

Dr. Castillo continues to work at Treehouse Animal foundation (a no-kill feline shelter)where he goes once a week to tend to the shelter cats. He loves his work there and the fact that he is able to help the sick and injured cats which would otherwise be left outside to fend for themselves.

Dr. Castillo also does some part time work at the Chicago Veterinary Emergency Services where he enjoys the challenges that emergency medicine brings.

Growing up, Dr. Castillo had always wanted to be a veterinarian and he truly loves his profession. Whether it is a difficult diagnostic case, or a delicate surgical procedure, Dr Castillo enjoys the challenges that veterinary medicine has to offer. He also enjoys his interaction with our clients and their companions as they progress through their lives.
