Dr. Locher is a recent graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois, and will join the North Center team this June. While in school, Dr. Locher had the privilege to spend some time at the North Center Animal Hospital as an extern in early 2009.  During his stay, he developed a fondness for the clients of this great Chicago neighborhood and the other doctors and staff at the North Center, and was thrilled to come back and join the team after graduation.

Dr. Locher is excited to be starting his career in veterinary medicine in this dynamic part of Chicago, and is looking forward to meeting more of the neighborhood and their animals in the very near future.  His professional interests include ultrasonography, surgery, and internal medicine.

Away from work, Dr. Locher enjoys spending time with his wife, two small daughters, their mixed breed dog, Baska, and their grey tabby, Chicken.  Whether he is biking, gardening, playing tennis or chasing his little girls, he is most happy when he is outside.
